"I may bring him my helmet from my motorcycle and give it to him to play in from now on."FCD Technical Director Fernando Clavijo talks with the DMN/3rdDegree about George John.
Finally, we're getting reports that plastic cups will replace aluminum bottles on the garden as soon as this weekend. We had always been opposed to the bottles for this precise reason, and our voices grew louder in this regard after Saturday, but remained rational and reasonable. We're thrilled at this development and thank the front office for their prompt decision.Via the Inferno's Facebook page.
A feisty club whose competitive edge is only blunted as a result of being perpetually in transition with no apparent long-term plan. Slurpee addicts will love everything about this team. Like the icy beverage, it has no real nutrients, tastes absolutely delicious, and though the sugar-high it offers can't be beat, the buzz never lasts quite long enough. From the FC Dallas section on how to pick a MLS club. Some of them were humorous. Others were...well...if you know Grantland you know where I am coming from on this.
"I would say he will not be 100 percent by March 2," Hyndman said. "We’re probably looking closer to four to six weeks away."Steve Hunt with the DMN had this update on Hassli.
FC Dallas has the #1 Academy but academy players have no space on starting 11.. Do they realize the potential and money are losing? Play your young talent and then sell it. That money goes to you, not to MLS. Do you know Funes Mori? Cost to River: $0. Ruben Luna, Bryan Leiva, Victor Ulloa, etc.. Too many players, too much talent, too little playing time.. In the other hand, coaches as Bruce Arena, Jason Kreis, Oscar Pareja and some others are developing players to be pros.. There is some people here trying to teach soccer to the world.. Everything is invented.. The good thing? Shorter or longer, soccer puts everyone in place.. In MLS you have to grow your own players and use them.. Is the only way you can be always competitive under salary cap restrictions.. It's frustating how FC Dallas waste talent just because they don't know how to finish the excellent job Academy coaches are doing..https://twitter.com/pabloricchetti
"He’s back," Hyndman said after training Monday. "He came back early last week. He’s been getting his treatment here, his rehab here, so I think we’re getting the things done we need to get done."3rd Degree's Todd Date with a quote from Hyndman on Ferreira's return
"We hope he’ll walk out of that appointment Wednesday feeling positive about himself and ready to go," says Hyndman. "He just needs the psychological strength to feel, ‘All right, I’m a month away, I’m a week away.’ He just needs that reassurance." -Schellas on David Ferreira today. Seems like a big day for DF guys.http://www.socceramerica.com/article/45663/dallas-hopes-2010-mvp-ferreira-passes-test.html
Absolutely, Schellas and FC Dallas have always enjoyed Kenny and working with Kenny. When he left, he was the face of the franchise, face of the team. I think people still remember that face. He had a great reception when he was here but you have to be careful at this point in time. What are they wanting? Most people want our whole defense. You get Kenny and that’s great. What can you give up and still have a strong team?Hyndman interviewed by 3rdDegree's Todd Date on whether or not they're interested in Cooper.
