Szabolcs Schon called into Hungarian National Team duty for World Cup Qualifiers

Schon will leave Dallas following this weekend’s game against Minnesota.

FC Dallas winger Szabolcs Schon has been called up to represent the Hungary National Team in the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifiers during the October international FIFA window.

Schon will depart following the FC Dallas home match against Minnesota United FC on Saturday, Oct. 2.

The 22-year old earns his third call up to the Hungary National Team. He made his senior team debut in an international friendly against Ireland on June 8. He also subbed in the UEFA Euro 2020 group stage matches against Portugal on June 15 and Germany on June 23. Schön started in the World Cup qualifying match against Andorra on Sept. 8 and recorded his first assist in the 18th minute of the 2-1 win. He has four appearances overall.

Hungary will face England and Albania during this World Cup qualifying window. They currently sit fourth with ten points in Group I behind England, Albania, and Poland.
