MLS: FC Dallas at Houston Dynamo Thomas Shea-USA TODAY Sports

Fafa makes his former club pay

The Texas Derby is back for the second installment of the 2021 season. Both FC Dallas and the Houston Dynamo are coming into this one with some bad form that they hope to turn around on Saturday night.

FC Dallas notes:

Key player for FC Dallas - Ricardo Pepi - The young Homegrown has gone cold lately after his hat trick. Pepi needs to find space in front of the goal and take more shots than what we’ve seen in recent games.

Last time out against the Dynamo - Earlier in the season these two met in Frisco as the game ended in a 1-1 draw after Jader Obrian scored the lone Dallas goal.

Seeing yellow - FC Dallas has been shown an MLS-high 51 yellow cards this season, though Dallas is one of eight teams that has not had a player sent off this season.

Disciplinary Report

SUSPENSION: Franco Jara (yellow card accumulation)

Houston Dynamo notes:

It hasn’t gone well - Houston’s club record winless run extended to 13 matches (D7 L6) with a 2-1 loss to Real Salt Lake on Wednesday. It’s the longest run without a win for any team this MLS season, surpassing Atlanta’s 12-match run from May to August.
