FC Dallas looks to rebound following their first home loss since 2019 as they host the Seattle Sounders on Wednesday night.
Seattle is coming off a big week that saw them defeat Tigres in the Leagues Cup before their massive 6-2 win over rivals Portland on Sunday night.
FC Dallas notes:
Key player for FC Dallas - Jimmy Maurer - Given how the Sounders have been in the last week, Maurer may end up having to stand on his head in this one to keep Dallas afloat in the game. But in all seriousness, Jimmy has been a beast this season so we shouldn’t expect anything less from him tonight.
Last time out against Seattle - The two sides met just a couple of weeks ago in Seattle on a Wednesday night that saw Franco Jara salvage a point with a late goal in a 1-1 draw.
Recent home history against Seattle - The Sounders are winless in 10 straight visits to Dallas (D3 L7, including playoffs) dating back to 2014, its second-longest winless away run against a single opponent in MLS (11 straight at LA Galaxy from 2010 to 2015).
