MLS: Sporting Kansas City at FC Dallas Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

So much pain

One of those freakin’ nights.

Two of the hottest teams in MLS will go head-to-head against one another on Saturday evening as FC Dallas plays host to Sporting Kansas City.

Both teams come into this game with wins last weekend, while SKC did have a midweek game in the Leagues Cup where they were dominated 6-1 by Liga MX side Club Leon.

FC Dallas notes:

Key player for FC Dallas - Szabolcs Schon - He has four assists in the last four games. Kind of wild considering the other two wingers brought in this past winter (Jader Obrian and Freddy Vargas) have just one between them. Getting Schon free and available on the wings is going to be important against an SKC defense that has been tough.

Last time out against SKC - FCD ended a rough seven-game winless streak on the road with a 2-1 win in Kansas City. Jesus Ferreira and Paxton Pomykal scored stellar strikes from outside the penalty box to pick up the win.

Streaking in a good way - FC Dallas’ 2-0 win over Austin FC on Saturday extended its home unbeaten run to 18 games (W10 D8), the longest active run in MLS.
