— FC Dallas (@FCDallas) July 8, 2021
FC Dallas looks to end their winless run away from home tonight as they take on the LA Galaxy in Carson, California. This match will be the first of five road games in the next six matches for FC Dallas.
Both sides are coming off equally disappointing July 4th games, as FCD picked up a late draw at home against Vancouver, while the Galaxy lost 2-0 at home to Sporting KC.
FC Dallas notes:
Key player for FC Dallas - Richardo Pepi - Like last week, just get him the ball in the penalty box and let the kid do his magic.
Last time against LA - Thanks to a COVID-filled 2020, these two sides did not meet a year ago. Their last meeting was in August of 2019, nearly two years ago when FC Dallas picked up a rare 2-0 win at home against the Galaxy. Dallas had never won three or more consecutive games against the Galaxy before that run.
Bad to worse away from home - Including their playoff loss to Seattle last season, FC Dallas has dropped five straight away matches, being outscored 10-1 in those games. Dallas hasn’t lost six straight on the road since July-September 2003.
