FC Dallas looks for their second straight win and third of the season on Sunday evening as they host the Vancouver Whitecaps in a July 4th match.
Vancouver is coming off a 2-2 draw last weekend in Seattle. They currently sit two points back of FC Dallas in the Western Conference standings.
FC Dallas notes:
Key player for FC Dallas - Richardo Pepi - Just continue feeding him the ball. Just do it.
Fireworks all around - FC Dallas is 10-4-4 with the last six Fourth of July games resulting in wins for FC Dallas. Dallas has faced D.C. United five times, Chicago Fire, New England Revolution, New York MetroStars/Red Bulls and Chivas USA twice, and Atlanta United FC, Orlando City SC, Toronto FC, Sporting Kansas City, and Philadelphia Union once. The Vancouver Whitecaps will be the 12th team that Dallas faces on America’s birthday and the second Canadian team.
Recent issues with the Caps - Vancouver is unbeaten in its last three trips to Dallas (W1 D2), scoring eight goals over the three visits. The Whitecaps had lost their first eight games at Toyota Stadium (including playoffs), scoring just three times in those games.
