FC Dallas Acquires Caiser Gomes On Loan from North Texas SC

In a rare loan from their USL League One side, FC Dallas adds some defensive depth for the remainder of the season.

We’ve seen plenty of loans from FC Dallas to their USL League One affiliate North Texas SC over the last couple of seasons, but not a loan the other way around until today. FC Dallas has acquired defender Caiser Gomes on loan from North Texas SC through the end of the season, the club announced today.

Gomes will occupy an international slot and will be added to the roster pending receipt of his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC).

The 21-year old joined North Texas SC on loan from F.C. Alverca in Portugal’s third division earlier this season. He has appeared in nine matches for North Texas SC. Prior to joining North Texas SC, Gomes appeared in 12 matches overall for Alverca, including Alverca’s third-round match in the Taça de Portugal. Between November of 2019 and June of 2020, Gomes was loaned to fellow third-division side G.D. Fabril.

The move adds some depth to the defensive backline that has been lacking for FC Dallas this season with veterans Matt Hedges and Jose Martinez both sidelined recently with injuries.
