FC Dallas Homegrown Beni Redzic undergoes surgery

The HGP will be out for up to eight weeks following the surgery.

The bad hits just keep on coming for FC Dallas in 2021. Homegrown Beni Redzic underwent ankle surgery earlier this week on Wednesday, June 23. Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Keith Heier successfully performed a high ankle sprain repair at Texas Health Center for Diagnostics and Surgery in Plano, Texas. Anticipated recovery time is approximately six-to-eight weeks.

Redzic signed with FC Dallas as the 31st Homegrown in club history on April 9, 2021. He made his professional debut last season with FC Dallas’ USL League One affiliate North Texas SC on July 25, 2020 vs. Forward Madison.

The 18-year old appeared in the 20-man roster for FC Dallas this season on May 29 against the Colorado Rapids on the road. Redzic also appeared in two NTSC games this season.

This is certainly a rough setback for the young attacker as he was looking to make his mark on the senior team this season.
