FC Dallas To Increase Fan Capacity At Toyota Stadium Beginning June 19, 2021

Games in May will remain at 50% capacity.

While the pandemic is raging on in other parts of the world, things are slowly marching towards some sense of normalcy here in North Texas.

FC Dallas announced today that home matches at Toyota Stadium will be close to 100% capacity beginning with Dallas’ match against Minnesota United on June 19, 2021. Capacity will remain slightly under 100% as a select number of seats at Toyota Stadium will remain unsold for the remainder of the season in order to comply with MLS seating restrictions.

All fans will continue to be required to wear a face mask while enjoying a game at Toyota Stadium unless they are actively eating or drinking.

The ‘slightly under 100%’ basically means that there won’t be stands in the north area of the stadium (once known as the Beer Garen) and the first two rows of any section will also be blocked off per these MLS regulations during the pandemic.

What do you make of FC Dallas essentially removing the limited capacity for the rest of the season? Do you think they will be able to get more sellouts or will we continue to see numbers like we’ve seen so far this season?
