FC Dallas is back at home for the final time this month as they face a must-win game early on in this new season when they host Real Salt Lake.
RSL comes in off a scoreless draw last week against Nashville SC, while FC Dallas is looking for their second win of the season after a pair of disappointing results against Minnesota and Houston in recent weeks.
FC Dallas notes:
Key player for FC Dallas - Andres Ricaurte - If the attack is ever going to get going the way we know it can, it will have to come down to Ricaurte doing his magic and getting guys like Jader Obrian and Franco Jara more involved.
Last time against RSL - The last two meetings between FC Dallas and Real Salt Lake have ended in scoreless draws.
Inside the box - An MLS-high 81.6 percent of FC Dallas’ shots this season have come from inside the box (40/49). All six of the Hoops’ goals this season have been scored inside the area.
Homegrown Derby - FC Dallas leads the league with 32 Homegrown signings since 2009, while Real Salt Lake has signed 24 players since its creation. On July 27, 2019, FC Dallas and RSL set an MLS record with 12 Homegrown players appearing in a match with seven players representing RSL and five players representing FCD. Both teams played to a scoreless draw. FC Dallas currently has 10 Homegrowns on its active roster, with three more on loan, while Real Salt Lake has 11 on its current roster.
