I’ve long wondered if FC Dallas was just ahead of the curve on some things or just weirdly lucky in some ways. They were one of the first MLS originals to rebrand to a ‘City Name FC’ monicker. They were one of the first MLS originals to build a stadium. After 16 years or so (its early, coffee hasn’t kicked in so apologies if the number of years is off), their logo has stood where others have changed.

The timing on this one is just weird. The branding is also weird but I get it in some ways why the ownership in Columbus wanted to forge their own path away from their history. But removing the Crew name is a mistake.
