Is the start FC Dallas wanted?

Two games into the season, very early days yet, FC Dallas isn’t where they would like to be.

If you want good news, few teams are where they would like to be. Only the Los Angeles Galaxy, who everyone picked to be kind of bad this year with a new coach, are dominating. Heck, Austin FC went into Colorado and won. Right now, we don’t how things will shake out and which teams will rise and which teams will crash back to earth.

FC Dallas certainly shouldn’t panic yet, but it is clear that these first two games better not be a trend.

What went wrong? What can be fixed?

We’ll talk about a few of our ideas and hear from you.

That Formation

Luchi Gonzalez shared about why he picked the formation in a media call last weekend and what he wants to get out of the formation. We’ll listen to his answer and discuss - is the 3-4-3 able to do what he wants? What is not working? Is it still a question of personnel?

If you are going to go with this system, who should start and who should sit?

Portland Looms

FC Dallas is back home this weekend against the Portland Timbers, and while the season is just in its infancy, this game looms large. FC Dallas needs three points. What will it take? What formation should Dallas go with? Who should be used to get a big result?

See you tonight! It’s going to be fun!
