1' - Wow, Dallas nearly opens the scoring within 20 seconds after Franco Jara steals the ball of the goalkeeper but Obrian's shot was saved.

FC Dallas is on the road for the first time in the 2021 season as they take on the San Jose Earthquakes. This is the first meeting between the two teams since June 2019.
San Jose got off to a rough start in week one as they lost 2-1 to the Houston Dynamo. Dallas is coming off a scoreless draw to Colorado as well.
FC Dallas notes:
Key player for FC Dallas - Andres Ricaurte - He was quiet, a bit too quiet in the season opener a week ago against Colorado. Dallas will need him to facilitate things to the wings and up top to Franco Jara more in this game as the Quakes defense is prone to giving up lots of goals. The more chances he helps create, the better chance FC Dallas returns to Frisco with three more points.
All-time vs San Jose & at PayPal Park - FC Dallas’ all-time regular season record against San Jose stands at 20-28-17 with 77 goals scored and 100 conceded. The club’s total away record isn’t great as they’ve gone 8-16-9 with 38 goals for and 56 against in all-time meetings in Northern California. Since the ‘Quakes moved into their new stadium PayPal Park in 2015, FCD has a 1-1-4 record at the venue.
Last time against San Jose - Thanks to COVID, the teams haven’t faced one another since June of 2019, in a 2-2 draw out in San Jose.
