Big D Daily: News for Friday, February 5, 2021

The deadline for a new MLS CBA got extended yet again yesterday.

MLS: FC Dallas at Sporting Kansas City Peter G. Aiken

Yesterday was supposed to be the deadline day for the latest talks between the league and players but both sides agreed to another extension that goes through today. Sounds like we’re getting closer to a new CBA rather than a lockout, which is good to see.

The big question on these big transfer deals may always be what it does to the fans. FCD wants to be a selling club that wins trophies. They got the selling part down but the winning trophies is still being worked on.

Pity Martinez makes a splash return to MLS with FC Cincinnati - Cincinnati Soccer Talk
This would be hilarious to me. Cincy overspending on a forward that really didn't do all that well in MLS. Maybe the smaller market would fit him better but still, that is a lot to spend on a player.
