Those calendar updates keep happening.

Welp, that hope of a first game in 2021 on April 3 for FC Dallas is getting a bit of a delay here.

Major League Soccer today announced an update to the start of the MLS regular season. Following the ratification of the CBA earlier this week, the MLS regular season will now kick off on Saturday, April 17.

This also means the start of preseason camps will likely get pushed into March as well but the league did not confirm what the new start date would be. Instead, it is a classic case of “TBD”.

MLS will announce the 2021 regular season schedule in the coming weeks as well. Knowing how the league operates, we’ll likely get the newly-reused name MLS is Back opponent for FC Dallas first before we get the entire season slate.

Are you disappointed to see the start of the regular season get pushed back yet again?
