FC Dallas looks to build off their road draw in Kansas City last week as they take on Minnesota United tonight in St. Paul.
United are coming off their biggest win of the season as they downed Real Salt Lake 4-0 over the Labor Day weekend.
Both sides, however, come into this one really banged up so we could see a debut from Andres Ricaurte for FC Dallas while Minnesota looks to get more out of their new DP Bebeto Reynoso.
FC Dallas notes:
On the road in Minnesota - FC Dallas hasn’t been great in Minnesota over the years since the Loons joined MLS. Their lone win came before Minnesota moved into their shiny new stadium while the other two games against them there were losses.
Last time against the Loons - It was just a couple of weeks ago that these two sides met. FC Dallas finally found a spark to their offense with two goals (one from Fafa Picault and the other from Jesus Ferreria) within a minute of each other in the first half before a late penalty kick from Reto Ziegler to deal the deal in the dying moments of the match to win 3-1.
Key player for FC Dallas - Jesus Ferreira - Right now he might have to be the guy to carry the team offensively in terms of setting up chances or creating them. That is until Andres Ricaurte gets up to speed in MLS. With the amount of injuries to the team right now, we also need him to stay healthy.
