East Stand View: Goals and Streaming!

New, 2 comments

Players celebrate the late actor and we finally have local streaming.

MLS: Minnesota United FC at FC Dallas Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

It was a fairly dang warm night in the DFW area Saturday night, and the team matched the heat with a sizzling performance. The team still let in a limited number of fans into the stadium to come watch the game, and they were the first to see a good performance after the restart. With the goals finally came the celebrations and they were dedicated to a special guy. It definitely helped stem some stress from the past few games...

Goals!

Not sure if it was just fortune, or if offense was the focus of every practice of the week, but it seemed to click this game for the home team. What a time for it to click, as we were on a drought that was starting to get the fan base a little anxious as to what was going on. The players celebrated the first two goals with tributes to the late Chadwick Boseman who sadly passed from cancer recently. Not only did the players finally get to celebrate, but the crowd actually got to stand up in celebration.

The Crowd & Streaming

The crowd finally got to get rowdy during a match as the boys in red and white got some names on the score sheet. There was about 3k fans in the stands, with even some Minnesota United fans coming out to Frisco for the game. El Matador was also out in force, although they weren’t socially distancing much, they did have a very nice tifo for our captain Reto Zeigler. Absolutely loved it.

Great news as well as FC Dallas matches in this year that are broadcast on TXA21 and on FCDTV Network affiliates will be available on YouTubeTV, and Hulu Live as well as on FCDallas.com/Stream. I believe ESPN+ also worked on this game but haven’t had it verified. This is fantastic news, especially for the hoop faithful that would not like to risk the trip to Frisco especially if they are a vulnerable or at risk individual.

And finally, your fan quote of the night: “Hey look! Maybe we don’t suck!” -/u/Legomykego

Did you use any of the new streaming services to watch this game by chance? Have any of y’all seen the tifo displayed by El Matador? And of y’all been to all the home games so far since the restart? Let me know in the comments below!
