FC Dallas vs Nashville SC: Game Thread

Here is your thread for today’s match.

MLS: Nashville SC at FC Dallas Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

Well, crap.

So close from Reggie!

Halftime: 0-0

90-100 degree weather. Five months for both teams not playing is really showing.

Pretty calm game so far...but Jimmy with a massive save to keep it level

Lineups are out

Soccer is back! We repeat, soccer is back!

After five long months, FC Dallas returns to the field as they host expansion side Nashville SC. Both sides were booted out of the MLS is Back tournament last month due to an outbreak of the coronavirus within both teams.

This is the first all-time meeting between the two clubs, but neither team will have to wait long for a second contest. That is scheduled to be played Sunday night back at Toyota Stadium.

FC Dallas notes:

Familiar faces. While Nashville may be new to MLS, they are stocked with some old faces that we’re going to be excited to see tonight. One of last season’s mainstays in the lineup, Dominique Badji returns for the first time since joining Nashville. He’ll be on the field along two other former FCD players, Walker Zimmerman and Dax McCarty.

Key player for FC Dallas - Michael Barrios - As we saw in Orlando, speed along the wings goes a long way during this time and Barrios will be the guy that Dallas needs to lean on a bit more against a defense that has some holes.
