Hey friends, how are you?
How are you doing in this strange time?
The good news is that Big D After Dark is back this Sunday, April 26, 2020 at 8:30 PM CENTRAL/9:30 PM EASTERN to break down the latest FC Dallas news. Ben, Jose, and I do our best to catch you up on the latest rumors, break down game action (despite there being little of it), and have a little fun to pass this non-soccer time away. To help us do that on Sunday, we are welcoming back personal hero, FC Dallas fan favorite, and author Bobby Warshaw. You can follow Bobby on twitter at bwarshaw14, and check out his book, When the Dream Becomes a Reality.
To get you hyped, here is Bobby scoring 8 goals in 9 games.
Of course, we remember Bobby from his time with FC Dallas under coach Schellas Hyndman. He had his memorable moments with us, including the late header to give FC Dallas the win over Sporting Kansas City. In recent years, he has been part of the Major League Soccer contribution team, a regular writer, and a fun voice in the soccer landscape. I particularly enjoy his passion as a fan and player and the way he mixes those two to bring different insights into the games we watch.
While there isn’t a ton of FC Dallas news, we will banter about the changes to soccer development in the US and how it might impact FC Dallas for good or worse. We will also talk about soccer scheduling and learn from Bobby some of the risks involved in a shortened season that potentially looms over MLS. And maybe if we have enough time, let’s get some dirt on Schellas Hyndman.
Best of all, what questions do you want to ask Bobby about his time as a player or his insight as to what this time means to soccer players and our sport?
You can watch live at our Youtube channel. Be sure to subscribe to be alerted when we go live!
Share some questions below, and I will try to get them in the show.
