Three FC Dallas Homegrowns make US roster for 2020 Concacaf Olympic Qualifying Championship

The Homegrown trio will miss some FC Dallas games.

The United States dropped their roster for the Olympic Qualifying tournament late last night and it certainly had a FC Dallas feel to it.

FC Dallas’ Homegrowns Reggie Cannon, Jesús Ferreira and Paxton Pomykal have been selected by United States Under-23 Men’s National Team head coach Jason Kreis to represent the U.S. at the 2020 Concacaf Olympic Qualifying Championship. The qualifiers will take place in Guadalajara, Mexico from March 20 to April 1.

This likely means the trio will miss FC Dallas’ game in Seattle on March 21, and potentially the next home game against LAFC on April 4 (they’ll be back but you do wonder how quickly Luchi Gonzalez will get them back into the lineups here).

The United States has a ridiculously tough path to Tokyo. They’ll be in Group A against Costa Rica on March 20 (6 p.m. CT; FS2, TUDN), Dominican Republic on March 23 (6 p.m. CT; FS1, TUDN) and Mexico on March 26 (10 p.m. CT; FS1, TUDN).
