FC Dallas vs Montreal Impact: Game Thread

Here is your thread for today’s match.

MLS: Montreal Impact at FC Dallas Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Urruti again! Geez

Of course Urruti scores in Frisco.

So close again!

Nice close chance by Ferreira

FC Dallas’ tough early season schedule continues in week two as they host the Montreal Impact in a Saturday afternoon contest.

Luchi Gonzalez and company got off to a good start in the opening week of the 2020 season with a 2-0 win over the Philadelphia Union, while Thierry Henry’s MLS coaching debut also saw similar success in a 2-1 win over New England.

FC Dallas notes:

Last time against Montreal. FCD has never lost to Montreal at home since the Impact joined MLS and last year’s lone meeting was one for the ages. FCD came from three goals down to tie 3-3 in a match that really lifted the team into a playoff push and gave us the first coming of Zdenek Ondrasek.

Key player for FC Dallas - Ondrasek - Montreal will likely look to slow down this game and keep a pretty strong defensive shape in this one as they look for a result. The more Kobra can push them up top to turn the ball over the better as it will help give FCD chances on goal.
