FC Dallas vs Philadelphia Union: Game Thread

Here is your thread for today’s match.

MLS: Philadelphia Union at FC Dallas Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Oh Santos! We’re getting there folks

Oh Jesus...

About as close as you can get there Barrios

This is the way in 2020

Lineups are out

Four Homegrown players...headlined by newly signed Tanner Tessmann.

The new season is here folks! FC Dallas is back on the field for the start of the 2020 regular season, the 25th MLS season for that matter, as they host the Philadelphia Union.

Head coach Luchi Gonzalez begins his second year as manager, as he has a couple of new faces and a core group of players returning that took eventual MLS Cup champions Seattle to extra time in last year’s playoffs.

FC Dallas notes:

Last time against Philadelphia. Historically, FCD has done very well against the Union over the years, going 5-0-1 in all time meetings in Frisco. FCD is also outscored the Union in those six meetings at Toyota Stadium by a score of 12-3.

Key player for FC Dallas - Jesus Ferreira - We talked about him a lot as a group in our preseason predictions and expectations. This game should feel like the start of what should be a special year for the Homegrown star.
