Six FC Dallas and North Texas SC players have been named to their respective country’s provisional rosters for the 2020 CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Championship, with Reggie Cannon, Jesus Ferreira, Paxton Pomykal and Brandon Servania representing the United States, Ronaldo Damus, who was signed from the FC Dallas academy by North Texas SC last January, representing his native Haiti and Callum Montgomery, who was recently loaned to San Antonio FC earlier this month, representing Canada.

The eight-team tournament will take place between March 20 and April 1 in Guadalajara, Mexico and will qualify two teams to the Men’s Olympic Football Tournament at the 2020 Summer Games in Tokyo, Japan. Men’s Soccer is the only sport in the Olympics which requires participants to be under the age of 23 – there are three exceptions for the final competition, but during the qualifying phase all players must meet the age requirement.

Each country’s final 20-man rosters will be announced a week before the tournament, on March 10, which could have FC Dallas losing several key starters for the later half of March and into early April.
