The 2021 roster for FC Dallas is starting to take shape here. This morning it was re-signing defender Bressan and keeper Phelipe Megiolaro. Now the club has added more defensive reinforcements. FC Dallas has acquired defender José Antonio Martinez from SD Eibar on a permanent transfer and signed the player using Targeted Allocation Money (TAM).

He will be under contract through the 2023 season with club options for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. Per team policy, additional terms of the deal will not be disclosed.

Martínez will be added to Dallas’ roster in January 2021 pending receipt of his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC). He will occupy an international roster spot.

The 27-year old joins FC Dallas from La Liga’s SD Eibar after two seasons on loan to Granada CF. He appeared in 56 matches for Granada and was part of the team that helped the Nazaríes get promoted to Spain’s top league.
