Squad Selection: Does Cobra get another start for FC Dallas?

FC Dallas closes out August with a visit from the expansion side from the Queen City.

Last weekend was certainly a lot of fun as FC Dallas dominated their top rivals in a 5-1 win. Now Luchi Gonzalez’s side welcomes FC Cincinnati to Toyota Stadium for the first ever meeting between the two clubs.

Gonzalez made a few tweaks to his lineup last week against Houston by starting Zdenek Ondrasek for the first time since May. Cobra’s energy and physical play helped spark the attack in a good way while Dominique Badji brought a lot of quality to the left side of the pitch to counter what Michael Barrios was doing on the right side.

Gonzalez did leave Paxton Pomykal on the bench to help manage his minutes a bit, and his energy off the bench was huge as well in the second half. Now Luchi faces a tough decision as to whether or not he starts Pomykal or Brandon Servania in the midfield on Saturday. What midfield would you go with if you were him?

Here is what we know in terms of availability for Saturday’s game (some of the loaned players could end up not being on loan, those are fluid each week):

SUSPENDED: none

OUT: none

QUESTIONABLE: Santiago Mosquera (lower body strain)

LOAN: Dante Sealy (North Texas SC), Moises Hernandez (San Antonio FC), Ema Twumasi & Francis Atuahene (Austin Bold), Pablo Aranguiz (Unión Española)
