U.S. Men’s National Team head coach Gregg Berhalter has called up 26 players in advance of the upcoming matches against Mexico and Uruguay. FC Dallas will see three of their own on the roster as goalkeeper Jesse Gonzalez, defender Reggie Cannon and midfielder Paxton Pomykal have each earned a spot on the roster.

The three will depart Dallas following the FC Cincinnati game this weekend.

Cannon is earning another call up following a successful run at the 2019 Gold Cup that saw him start several games, including the final against Mexico. He has appeared in 56 matches for FC Dallas, recording two goals and three assists.

Pomykal is earning his first senior national team call following a solid run with the US U-20 team that made it to the quarterfinals in this year’s U-20 World Cup in Poland. The 19-year-old’s standout performances for Dallas have earned him six MLS Team of the Week inclusions so far, as well as the honor of being named to this year’s MLS All-Star Game by commissioner Don Garber.

Gonzalez earns his second call up of the year and fourth overall since making a one-time change of association in 2017. Gonzalez has started in goal for FC Dallas in 26 matches this season and is currently tied for fifth in the league with 1.27 goals against average.
