Houston is coming into this match just six points back of FCD in the standings. They recently went through a coaching change as they let Wilmer Cabrera go and promoted Davy Arnaud to the interim role. The Orange have only two wins in their last 15 games including a draw last weekend against Colorado.
FC Dallas notes:
Last time against the Houston. The two sides met in the first leg of the Texas Derby back in May, when the Orange picked up a 2-1 win. Dallas nearly had a chance to tie things up in the end but a shout for a penalty kick was waved off.
Key player for FC Dallas - Paxton Pomykal - As tempting as it was to put Michael Barrios for a second straight game, it really does all come down to how Pomykal plays in the attack, whether in the middle of the field on on the wings. He has to be the guy to pull the strings and make this group find chances in a pretty weak Houston defense.
