Squad Selection: Will there be any rotation to FC Dallas’ squad against DC United?

After three straight games of the same starting XI, will Luchi Gonzalez mix things up?

MLS: FC Dallas at Portland Timbers Troy Wayrynen-USA TODAY Sports

FC Dallas is back at home tomorrow night for the annual July 4th match as they host an old MLS rival in D.C. United.

The Black-and-Red will come to town with a familiar face in Marquinhos Pedoro, as well as Wayne Rooney as they look to take down Luchi Gonzalez’s side on the big holiday in MLS.

FC Dallas has used the same lineup for three straight games here as Gonzalez has opted to stick it out with his young core in the midfield with the veteran-led defense behind them. Even with the short turn around again, I would expect the same backline to get the nod in this one with more rotation set for the friendly on Sunday.

Do you make any changes this week to the lineup, knowing that some rotation will likely set in for Sunday’s friendly against Tijuana?

Here is what we know in terms of availability for Thursday’s game (some of the loaned players could end up not being on loan, those are fluid each week):

SUSPENDED: none

OUT: none

QUESTIONABLE: John Nelson (abdominal)

LOAN: Dante Sealy (North Texas SC), Moises Hernandez (San Antonio FC), Ema Twumasi & Francis Atuahene (Austin Bold), Cristian Colman (North Texas SC)

INTERNATIONAL DUTY: Reggie Cannon (United States, Gold Cup)

Note: As of this writing, Carlos Gruezo has not been officially transferred from FC Dallas to German side FC Augsburg. He is still listed below. Also, newcomer Edwin Gyasi has not been added as well since the club has not received his ITC and P1 Visa.
