Here is your thread for today’s match.

MLS: Real Salt Lake at FC Dallas Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

VAR didn’t go FCDs way

Penalty or no?

The weekend is in full swing here as FC Dallas is back at home to close out the month of July with a game against Western Conference rivals Real Salt Lake.

RSL had to deal with the Leagues Cup on Wednesday night against Tigres UNAL. They dropped that match 1-0 but their league form has been decent as of late with three wins in their last five games.

FC Dallas notes:

Last time against RSL. The two sides met back in March up in Utah in the first leg on this “Homegrown Derby” with FC Dallas coming out on top with a lovely 4-2 win. Paxton Pomykal scoring a brace against a RSL side reduced to 10 men when Damir Kreilach was shown a straight red card for a head butt on Carlos Gruezo in the 17th minute.

Key player for FC Dallas - Michael Barrios - If he can be a pest on the wings like we saw a few times last weekend in KC, the attack should be just fine no matter who is in the middle ( Pomykal or Jesus Ferreira).
