Squad Selection: Does FC Dallas make any big changes at home against Real Salt Lake?

After a big road win in KC, FC Dallas is back at home to host RSL.

MLS: FC Dallas at Sporting Kansas City Peter G. Aiken

The second round of the dubbed Homegrown Derby is here as FC Dallas is getting set to host Real Salt Lake this weekend.

Luchi Gonzalez had to deal with no Paxton Pomykal last weekend in Kansas City. The FC Dallas midfield hasn’t been training a bunch this week, as he sat out practice earlier in the week. He is scheduled it resume training on Thursday with hopes of being available this weekend.

Because of that injury, Jesus Ferreira filled in the #10 role and helped guide the club to their second straight victory in Kansas City. Will we see more of that this weekend? Or will Pomykal return forcing Gonzalez to make a decision between Ferreira and Dominique Badji up top?

Here is what we know in terms of availability for Saturday’s game (some of the loaned players could end up not being on loan, those are fluid each week):

OUT: John Nelson (abdominal)

QUESTIONABLE: Paxton Pomykal (lower body strain)

LOAN: Dante Sealy (North Texas SC), Moises Hernandez (San Antonio FC), Ema Twumasi & Francis Atuahene (Austin Bold)
