Workhorse of the Week vs Sporting Kansas City

New, 5 comments

Three points on the road are sweet. Who was the top player from FCD’s win at Kansas City?

MLS: FC Dallas at Sporting Kansas City Peter G. Aiken

He wins again. Ryan Hollingshead tallied enough votes for yet another Workhorse of the Week nod for his performance against Minnesota United.

Away Cooking Is Tasty

Over this past month, FC Dallas has looked good despite giving up some results and dropping points. Last week, losing a late one to Minnesota, despite playing well, was difficult. Dallas deserved more. The final product may not be there, but the performances are promising.

This week, against Sporting Kansas City, FC Dallas sealed the deal. It helps that Kansas City is a mess right now. Michael Barrios took advantage of their miscues, Dominique Badji once again made some defenders struggle, and Jesus Ferreira enjoyed some bounces that went his way for once.

There is a lot to like in this match.

Ultimately, points on the road are massive to make up lost ground and to stay competitive. Dallas is going to need conjure up some of these results to stay up and lock themselves into the playoffs.

Here are my questions:

  • Are you still feeling a little hesitation about playoff positioning?
  • When will FC Dallas grab another set of away points?

Vote below, and tell me what you think about Dallas’ away form.
