FC Dallas vs Portland Timbers: Game Thread

Here is your thread for today’s match.

MLS: New England Revolution at Portland Timbers Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

FC Dallas looks to get over their frustrating draw against the Vancouver Whitecaps on Sunday night as they take on another Cascadia side in the Portland Timbers.

Portland is coming off a disappointing result of their own this past Wednesday as well, as they lost 2-1 at Montreal.

FC Dallas notes:

Last time against Portland. The two sides met back in April as FC Dallas got the upper hand in the season series with a 2-1 win thanks to a penalty kick from Reto Ziegler.

Key player for FC Dallas - Matt Hedges - FCD will need their veteran leader to step up and contain Brian Fernandez and what he brings to the Timbers’ attack. Slowing him down is key in getting some points on the road in this game.
