Another week down, another loss. Yeah, it’s getting that bad.

The winless streak for FC Dallas hits six games as they dropped their fourth game in six weeks in a 2-1 loss to the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Vancouver got on the board first in this one with a goal from Ali Adnan in the 30th minute. Hwang In-Beom helped set up the goal as he played in Adnan who beat a couple Dallas defenders before curling a shot past Jesse Gonzalez.

The Caps scored ten minutes later when Lucas Venuto found the back of the net. A ball was played into the penalty box to Fredy Montero who made one touch before passing it off to Venuto who hit a shot that got tucked away inside the far post past Gonzalez.

Dallas got on the board in the 85th minute on a goal from Dominque Badji. Rookie John Nelson made a huge defensive stop on one end and found second half substitution Bryan Reynolds who played a great ball into Badji. The Senegalese forward made one cut by a Caps defender and then fired a shot past Maxime Crépeau.

Instant reaction: Two points in six games. Yeah, that is where this team is at right now. I do think guys like Reynolds, Nelson, and Thomas Roberts are in a prime position to get more minutes and possibly even more starts too.

Man of the Match: Insert your favorite shrug gif or meme here. Yeah, outside of Badji’s goal and the defensive stop from Nelson to help set up the goal, there really wasn’t a lot of good in this one for FCD. Jacroi Hayes also had a really solid night though, as he’s starting to feel comfortable in this role for FCD. Bressan had a decent game in the defense with Reto Ziegler and Matt Hedges missing this one.

What’s next for FC Dallas: We will see FC Dallas begin the month of June with a home game against conference rivals Seattle Sounders.
