Squad Selection: How will Luchi Gonzalez rotate his squad for Sunday’s rematch with LAFC?

Round one didn’t work out, how Luchi handle things tomorrow evening?

MLS: FC Dallas at Los Angeles FC Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

Following FC Dallas’ 2-0 loss on Thursday night to Los Angeles FC, the team returned home in hopes to recover quickly for yet another game with the league’s best side on Sunday night.

Luchi Gonzalez rolled out a 3-4-3 with Bressan making his return to the lineup for the second time this season. The result didn’t work out as FCD struggled at getting forward in the attack.

Now the club returns home and could have the likes of Dominque Badji and Carlos Gruezo back, who both missed recent games with injuries. There is also questions on Michael Barrios’ health. As of this writing, we’re under the assumption that he will be available for selection.

Here is what we know in terms of availability for Sunday’s game (some of the loaned players could end up not being on loan, those are fluid each week):

OUT: Santiago Mosquera (knee)

QUESTIONABLE: Paxton Pomykal (hamstring), Cristian Colman (torn ACL), Francis Atuahene (pectoral muscle), Dominque Badji (hip flexor), Carlos Gruezo (lower body strain), Michael Barrios (concussion)

LOAN: Dante Sealy (North Texas SC), Moises Hernandez (San Antonio FC)

INTERNATIONAL DUTY: Edwin Cerrillo and Brandon Servania (U-20 World Cup)
