Squad Selection: Who makes Luchi Gonzalez’s lineup against Philadelphia?

FC Dallas remains on the road for a second straight game, so what changes will be made?

MLS: FC Dallas at Real Salt Lake Chris Nicoll-USA TODAY Sports

FC Dallas stays on the road this weekend as they visit the Philadelphia Union for their lone match of the 2019 regular season.

Luchi Gonzalez had some roster moves last week in Utah that paid off in their 4-2 win over Real Salt Lake. Now the big question will be how he handles a second straight road game against a pretty solid Eastern Conference squad. Does he keep what worked in Utah or go back to something similar to what we saw before the international break?

Gonzalez will likely be able to rotate some players in the midfield and attack again this week as they take on the Union and their 4-4-2 (diamond-type look) formation. Guys we’ve seen so far this season like Jacori Hayes and Bryan Acosta are back in the thick of things to start while recent incumbents Pablo Aranguiz and Edwin Cerrillo continue to show well.

Here is what we know in terms of availability for Saturday’s game (some of the loaned players could end up not being on loan, those are fluid each week):

OUT: Cristian Colman (torn ACL), Francis Atuahene (pectoral muscle), Dominque Badji (hamstring)

LOAN: Dante Sealy (North Texas SC), Moises Hernandez (San Antonio FC)
