San Jose comes into the match on a bit of a hot streak of their own after struggling through the opening month of the season. Matias Almeyda’s side has picked up solid results recently, including a win over Sporting KC and a draw on Wednesday night in Seattle.
FC Dallas notes:
Last time against San Jose. Last year’s meetings against the Quakes didn’t go all too well for FC Dallas. They played twice in August, losing both times to the then-worse team in MLS. First was a 3-1 shocker on the first day that the South End of Toyota Stadium was open to the public and then a wild 4-3 game in San Jose later that month.
Key player for FC Dallas - Michael Barrios - If he can continue to find space on the wings and help set up the likes of Paxton Pomykal and Jesus Ferreira, then FC Dallas should be able to escape this game with points.
