FC Dallas midfielder Carlos Gruezo has been called up to the Ecuador National Team during the FIFA International Break running this month from March 18 to March 26. Gruezo and La Tri will play matches against the United States (March 21) and Honduras (March 26).
The midfielder will report following the match against Columbus Crew SC on Saturday, March 16 at MAPFRE Stadium and will be unavailable for the next FC Dallas home game against Colorado Rapids on Saturday, March 23.
The 23-year old defensive midfielder has 21 career appearances with the Ecuadorian National Team. He was called up last November where he appeared in both wins against Peru and Panama. So far in 2019, Gruezo has been a rock for Luchi Gonzalez in his new three-man midfield system, earning Team of the Week honors this week following the club’s first win of the season.
