Squad Selection: How FC Dallas should approach First Kick

New, comments

A new season is finally here, which means it is time to make your lineup selection.

Daniel McCullough

The new season is finally here folks. And with that comes a time once again to begin thinking about who you’d like to see start on Saturday for FC Dallas as they host the New England Revolution in the first game of the season.

New head coach Luchi Gonzalez has spent the preseason putting in a new system and formation that appeared to work pretty well for this group. His 4-3-3 set up has the team looking stronger in the attack and pretty stout in the defense.

But with all the preseason games behind us, which lineup is the best choice for Gonzalez to take on the Revs? Does he continue to throw out an attacking group that features young Homegrown Paxton Pomykal? Or does Pablo Aranguiz get the start instead? Will we see Ryan Hollingshead win the battle for the left back spot over Marquinhos Pedroso?

What do you want to see happen on Saturday afternoon?

Here is what we know in terms of availability for Saturday’s game (some of the loaned players could end up not being on loan, those are fluid each week):

OUT: Cristian Colman (torn ACL), Francis Atauhene (pectoral muscle)

LOAN: Dante Sealy (North Texas SC)
