Add one more to the FC Dallas roster for 2019 today folks.

FC Dallas has signed 2019 MLS SuperDraft pick Callum Montgomery (1st round, 4th overall) to a contract, the club announced today.

Montgomery has played in five preseason matches since being drafted, scoring one goal. So far this preseason he has mostly been seen with the ‘second-team’ in games, along side newcomer Bressan and fellow draftee John Nelson.

The 21-year old played four seasons at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, scoring 11 goals and tallying seven assists in 70 starts. He was named to the United Soccer Coaches’ First Team All-American and Conference USA Defender of the Year in 2018.

This move put the 2019 roster count to 29 players, which could easily change should FC Dallas put anyone on the injured reserve list (Cristian Colman) or loan out some of their younger players to North Texas Soccer Club.
