After what was one of the wildest starts to MLS funny season back in December, things have gone rather quiet after the start of the new year. Well, never fear, cause I’m here to re-ignite that funny season fire. FC Dallas is linked to yet another player out of Venezuela:
''POSIBLEMENTE ME VAYA A DALLAS''.

Hetyomar Polake, who covers the Venezuelan top flight, is reporting that he had a conversation with Antonio Romero, who confirmed that he was leaving Zamora FC to join FC Dallas. Romero confirmed that he would be leaving this weekend for Frisco, just in time for the start of the MLS Preseason.
Romero is a 5 foot 6 inch 22 year old player (he just turned 22 today, Happy Birthday!), who can play on either wing, and forward. He spent 2018 on loan with Deportivo Lara (Venezuela top flight), and played in 25 matches across all competitions, scoring 12 goals and two assists. He is a former Venezuela U20, that was part of the team which finished 3rd place in the 2017 South America Youth Championship.
It should be pointed out that FC Dallas has been linked to three Venezuelan players this offseason, all three of which being wingers capable of playing on both sides.
Here’s a second confirmation:
Muy difícilmente Antonio Romero continué en #ZamoraFC, ayer el delantero no vio minutos en la Copa Bicentenaria por lo que parece inminente su salida a la #MLS, su destino sería el @FCDallas que también preguntó por Erickson Gallardo.

I don’t have any recent highlights videos, so individual scoring videos is the order of the day:
So what do you think? Is this depth on the wings for FCD? Is he just a trialist? How many International spots does FCD have anyway? Perhaps he’s another North Texas SC addition? Let us know your thoughts on this player.
