One day after making a big trade, FC Dallas is back at it again today with another big move. The club has signed midfielder Pablo Aránguiz from Chilean first division side Unión Española, using Targeted Allocation Money (TAM) and pending receipt of his ITC and P-1 visa.
The 21-year old is the second TAM signing this summer, Marquinhos Pedroso being the other a few weeks ago. Aranquiz signed with Unión Española as an 18-year-old in 2015. He made his debut in 2016 and has amassed 11 goals in 3,335 minutes, including five goals this year. Unión Española finished second in the Chilean first division in 2017.
He will occupy an international roster slot, the one that FC Dallas acquired yesterday in the trade with Colorado for Kellyn Acosta. He has been in Texas since last week finalizing this deal as the club was looking to sign another young talent to replace Mauro Diaz.
What do you make of Aranguiz? Happy to see this move come together so quickly?
