Rankings Recap: FC Dallas remain steady following up and down week

After winning two out of three games, FC Dallas still holds a good spot in the latest rankings.

The busy start to July had the latest Pollsters thinking all sorts of things about FC Dallas after their 3-2 win on July 4 over league-leaders Atlanta United. The weekend loss at Real Salt Lake though left a different taste in everyone’s mouths. Lets see where they had FCD this week following those two results: (This week: 7, Last Week: 7)

Comment: It was a mixed double-game week for Dallas, who got a huge comeback against Atlanta, spearheaded by Tesho Akindele but struggled against RSL. They’ve already signed a new left back, but will Dallas be looking to make any more significant moves this summer to put them over the top?

ESPNFC (This Week 5, Last Week 5)

Comment: A big swing in emotions for FC Dallas in the last week as the club adjusts to life without Mauro Diaz. Midweek saw FCD beat Atlanta United, while the weekend delivered a dispiriting 2-0 loss to Real Salt Lake in Utah.

Soccer America (This week: 2, Last week: 5)

Comment: Two goals off the bench just two minutes apart by Tesho Akindele provided a stunning defeat of the league’s points leader. That effort took its toll in Utah, where head coach Oscar Pareja fielded another lineup stacked with Homegrown players.
