Hoops Home and Abroad: Transfer window opens

The arrival of the summer transfer window sees several players finding new homes.

Mauro moves to the Middle East, Nedyalkov goes back home, and Emerson Hyndman may finally go on loan.

Emerson Hyndman (DFW - Bournemouth/Premier League): After what can only be described as a season full of disappointment, Emerson will finally be sent on loan:

Fabian Castillo (FCD - Trabzonspor/Super Lig): Fabian is finally fit, and has joined Trabzonspor in their preseason training:

Blas Perez (FCD - CSD Municipal/Guatemala): Blas and his Panama team were eliminated from the World Cup. It was all about having made it to the big stage for this group, and not necessarily the results. Now, we say goodbye to Panama’s Golden Generation:

Anibal Chala (FCD - LDU Quito, Loan/Ecuador): Anibal did not feature for LDU Quito this week, nor has he featured for several weeks.

Major League Soccer

Chris Seitz (FCD - Houston Dynamo): Chris suited up, but did not play in Saturdays 3-0 win against visiting Minnesota United FC.

Walker Zimmerman(FCD - Los Angeles FC): Walker started Saturday against visiting Orlando City SC. Walker had a game high five aerials won, and other than slipping on Orlando’s only goal, had a good defensive performance. LAFC would go on to post a 4-1 victory.

Lee Nguyen (DFW - Los Angeles FC): Lee started against visiting Orlando City SC, in the LAFC 4-1 victory. Lee was not involved in the scoring, but had a masterful passing performance (game high 94.8% passing), that allowed the LAFC attack to flow.

The LAFC win, see LAFC climb back up to 2nd in the Western Conference.

Brek Shea (DFW - Vancouver Whitecaps): Brek suited up Saturday, but did not play in a 3-2 victory over the visiting Chicago Fire.

Richard Sanchez (AP/FCD - Chicago Fire): Richard started in the 3-2 loss at Vancouver, posting 4 saves in the match.

Mikey Ambrose (DFW - Atlanta United FC): Mikey started Saturday at the Philadelphia Union. Mikey played a solid 73 minutes before being subbed off. AUFC would go on to a 2-0 victory.

Connor Presley (DFW - San Antonio FC): Connor started on Wednesday (4th of July!), against visiting Oklahoma City Energy FC. Connor started at left wing in the 4-5-1 formation, and played 66 minutes. Connor finished with 78.9% passing and one key pass, as SAFC had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

The draw keeps SAFC, 9th place in the Western Conference.

Walker Hume (FCD - Orange County SC): Walker suited up Tuesday night at the Colorado Springs Switchbacks. Walker would come off the bench in the 79th minute, and help Orange County SC secure a 1-0 victory.

Hume suited up Saturday, but did not play in a 3-0 loss to LA Galaxy II.

The win and loss sees OCSC move to 5th place in the Western Conference.

Aaron Guillen (AP/FCD - North Carolina FC): Aaron got the start Wednesday, at Center-back in the 3-4-3 formation, at the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Aaron had a good game, finishing with two tackles, one shot on goal, and 81.4% passing. Aaron may have had a good game, but his team did not, as they suffered a 2-0 defeat.

The loss keeps North Carolina FC 13th place in the Eastern Conference.

London Woodberry (FCD/AP - Nashville SC) - London suited up, and came on in the 53rd minute of a 1-1 draw, against visiting FC Cincinnati.

The draw keeps Nashville 5th place in the Eastern Conference.

Corben Bone (DFW - FC Cincinnati) - Corben started, and played 81 minutes in the 1-1 draw at Nashville SC.

The draw sees FC Cincinnati remain 1st place in the Eastern Conference.

Je-Vaughn Watson (FCD - Charlotte Independence): Je-Vaughn did not feature for the Charlotte Independence this week.

Adonijah Reid (Loan - Ottawa Fury) - Adonijah started Sunday against the visiting Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Adonijah had a less than memorable day, as he struggled with his first touch, and his passing suffered as well (53.8%). Adonijah played 72 minutes, in a 1-0 loss.

Jesus Ferreira & Brandon Servania (Loan - Tulsa Roughnecks) - Jesus and Brandon both suited up Saturday, at Rio Grande Valley FC. With both teams tied at 0-0 and Tulsa in need of a spark, Brandon would come on in the 60th minute, and Jesus would follow in the 70th. With Tulsa trailing 1-0, Jesus would get the assist on the equalizer:

The game would end in a 1-1 draw.

The draw keeps Tulsa 16th place in the Western Conference, but sees them on a three-game unbeaten streak under new coach Michael Nsien.
