Rankings Recap: Unbeaten week gives FC Dallas a bump

Three straight wins has people talking.

MLS: Los Angeles FC at FC Dallas Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

FC Dallas is starting to get on everyone’s radar here as they continue to pile up wins and points as we head into summer. After winning three straight, including two last week against both LA sides, the latest Power Rankings across the web are buzzing over what is going on with this squad. (This week: 6, Last Week: 8)

Comment: FC Dallas had the joint-best week in MLS, with two wins in a sweep over the Angeleno sides. Considering they’ve only lost one league game in 13 this year, is (practically) everyone still sleeping on Oscar Pareja’s team?

ESPNFC (This week: 5, Last Week: 8)

Comment: Six points in a week has FC Dallas at the top of the Western Conference standings, riding a six-game unbeaten run and a three-game winning streak. Even more impressive, FCD’s streak came in three games during an eight-day span.

Soccer America (This week: 5, Last week: 9)

Comment: FCD is spreading the wealth to good effect. Against the Galaxy, Ryan Hollingshead scored his first goal in nearly two years and assisted on one by Cristian Colman. Hollingshead also assisted on Roland Lamah’s winner in the LAFC game. Reto Ziegler had opened the scoring with his first MLS goal. FCD has won three in a row and four of its last six.
