Squad Selection: How heavy does FC Dallas rotate their lineup in the USOC?

How many young players will get minutes in Wednesday’s USOC game?

MLS: Portland Timbers at FC Dallas Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

One of the first big tests of the 2018 season is here as FC Dallas heads into the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup 2018 to take on San Antonio FC on Wednesday night.

FC Dallas has been in a big stretch of games here as of late, winning three in a row in league play and are unbeaten in six over all. Now comes a midweek USOC game on the road against a team that will certainly be up for the challenge. The USOC comes with a bit of a wrinkle with the five international players limit (green card players are good here just like in MLS play). Does Pareja rest key players for this weekend’s game against Montreal or go all out?

The best bet is to expect a heavy rotated squad with several players getting some rest for this weekend.

Here is what we know in terms of availability for Wednesday’s game:

OUT: Kris Reaves (core muscle), Anton Nedyalkov (broken collar bone)

LOAN: Anibal Chala (L.D.U. Quinto), Adonijah Reid (Ottawa)
