FCD goes back to the 4-4-2
.@ChickfilA Starting XI: after seeing the 4-3-3 look as commonplace in recent weeks, Oscar Pareja will once again shuffle things up with a four-man midfield. #USOC2018 #SKCvFCD

The World Cup may be taking center stage right now but the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup is back in action this weekend as FC Dallas is in the heart of the country to battle Sporting Kansas City.
Dallas are unbeaten in all competitions in their last eight matches, including a 1-0 win over USL side San Antonio FC to get to this round of the tournament against SKC.
FC Dallas notes:
Last time against SKC in the USOC. We’ve been here before. Last season the two sides met in this round and in this venue as SKC was able to get past FCD 3-0 thanks to some shaky calls, poor finishing and the start of a really messy summer.
FCD in KC. In Open Cup play, Dallas has never won in Kansas City, going 0-3-0. Dallas has been outscored 13-2 by Sporting (3-0 in 2017, 6-2 in 2015 and 4-0 in 2004).
Key player. Mauro Diaz. You have to put him up here again as the main man to lead FCD to a victory here. If Diaz doesn’t show up or gets locked down in the midfield, it could be a long evening for Dallas on the road.
