Rankings Recap: FC Dallas stays steady after road draw

Another draw sees things balance our for FCD in the rankings.

MLS: FC Dallas at Los Angeles FC Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

FC Dallas went on the road last weekend to a new stadium, against a new team in LAFC, and came away with a solid road draw. The latest polls took notice of that draw and kept FCD pretty much where they were from the previous week. (This week: 8, Last Week: 7)

Comment: Dallas gut out a solid draw on the road, and Maxi Urruti did what he does in getting the all-important equalizer. Mauro Diaz was an unused substitute in the game against LAFC -- is his gravitational pull over FC Dallas’ attack gone?

ESPNFC (This week: 12, Last Week: 13)

Comment: A point on the road in Los Angeles is a good return for Oscar Pareja’s side. Maxi Urruti’s excellent work was rewarded with a second-half goal that helped the visitors claim a draw against Bob Bradley’s team.

Soccer America (This week: 8, Last week: 8)

Comment: A monster game from Max Urruti -- four shots, one goal, four recoveries, three tackles, three clearances -- powered FCD to a valuable point on the road and one more display of a broader identity, with just 35.7 percent of possession. Mauro Diaz did not play.

Pro Soccer USA (This week: 7, Last week: 8)

Comment: Dallas took a point from a tough road environment at LAFC’s new Banc of California Stadium - not a terrible way to rebound from their first loss of the season.
