Roster Update: Jesus Ferreira goes on Loan to Tulsa Roughnecks FC

The young homegrown is finally getting some minutes.

MLS: 2018 Portraits USA TODAY Sports

Jesus Ferreira has been sent on loan to the Tulsa Roughnecks of the USL and is schedule to play two games this week. Jesus will be joining a Roughnecks team that has started the current USL season off pretty slow only amassing four points in their first seven matches. They haven’t won a game yet and have only score six goals.

Ferreira is currently in his second professional season having only played 19 minutes at the senior level. There is currently a log jam in the midfield and forward positions for FC Dallas so a move will allow Ferreira to continue his development.

Jesus who had surgery for a sports hernia back in March will potentially give an offensive jolt to a team has been struggling going forward. His first match will be against Reno 1868 tomorrow night and then is scheduled to be back in the squad this weekend against Phoenix FC. There are no direct parameters for the length of the loan, so FC Dallas will be able to recall him whenever they see fit.

Jesus will join Francis Atuahene, Anibal Chala, Adonijah Reid, and Emu Twamasi as FC Dallas players currently out on loan.
