General thoughts on the match…

One of the fears we had going into today was that we would look like we were out of rhythm but I thought it looked better than the previous games we had played. We created chances and had clear options to finish in the first half. In the second half, the team didn’t look to be out of shape. We had our bye week but I don’t think it weakened us. I think the team had overall a good game.

On not scoring more goals…

If you analyze the FC Dallas games since last August, we always say [we are] missing that last touch, that we are getting to the last third, but we are not being precise or we are not being that team who is heavy there. You’re right, we are trying to work the things out and have some of those sequences. We could easily say we need more forwards [on the field]. That would be an easy answer. I have different reasons. We’ll take the responsibility and to see if the goals can come. We have six goals in four games, not bad, but we know that we need much more to get the points, because every time the other team has a chance, boom [they finish].

On only getting six points from four home games…

It’s difficult. Every team has gotten better. The games are getting tougher and tougher. It’s going to be difficult, surely for all of us. In the last three years at the start of the season and especially at home, we always had three points often. Now we walk out with one point and that is not a good job. But I tell the boys and I tell everyone that those points count, because getting points is going to get harder and harder.

On if he should have put Cristian Colman in the game earlier…

Cristian came in the game and scored so the analysis will tell us that he should have been on the field earlier. I have to say, ‘yea, I think so too.’ I just think it is great that he scored. We needed it. We need someone to score.

On the mistake that lead to Colorado’s goal…

That was what the other team was waiting for, us to make a mistake. We can analyze it. Was it an individual mistake? Was it a collective mistake? Is the unit not working? Is the concept not being applied? What is it? Normally, we analyze those mistakes very well. Those key moments of the game, we need to be more mature and make sure that doesn’t happen.

On his save in the 25th minute…

It was a scramble in the box. It came off of a tackle where the ball kind of sprung free to [Dominique] Badji. He was able to take a touch inside with his left and… I got caught leaning a little bit but I was able to get back and get a hand on it. Then I was able to scramble and dive on top of it before [Joe] Mason got there. It was just one of those plays where you do whatever you can to keep it out.

Thoughts on scoring tonight’s game-tying goal…

The truth is that it was a goal we were working on throughout the week and thank God that the opportunity was presented. The moment was just right when Mauro [passed] the ball and I was able to score. Thoughts on not being able to get a win…

To be honest, it left a bitter taste. We were in a place where we needed points because we’ve had too many draws. Sadly, we didn’t get the result we wanted, which were the three points. But we will continue working throughout the week to get a win in the next match. Thoughts on continuing to fight after trailing…

We were down a point and we tried to score. [Oscar] would push us and the team would push each other and put some pressure on top, but unfortunately, they would close in. So as I mentioned previously, thank God Mauro was able to pass the ball and I was able to score before the match ended.
